Looking To The Cross | Day 18 | Romans 8:31-34

What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

What if, every morning, we started our day reminding ourselves that God is for us? That we are victorious through Him? That there is no need to fear? That we are free from defeat because Christ lives in us by His Spirit? That Jesus is coming for us, and we will share His Glory? That Jesus intercedes for us? That we cannot be separated from His love?

What incredible encouragement Paul shares in this passage in Romans! God is for us. And as believers we can never be separated from Him because through Jesus and His work on the cross, we have been declared righteous. We have been justified. And we are forever secure in Him.

But what about difficulties in our lives? Paul reminds us that Christ intercedes for us. As our High Priest, He represents us before the throne of God. He gives us the grace we need to overcome temptation. He forgives our sins.

Rather than rushing into our often hectic schedules each morning, let’s try to start each morning by first remembering who we are in Christ Jesus.

If God be for us, who can be against us!
